This website showcases my journey as a creative capturing moments of beauty be it with a camera or with a pencil or brush.

I recently turned 60, with over 40 years of advertising experience under my belt producing image content for the tech industry, formerly analogue & later digitally. Today my approach to creativity in my spare time at least is a combination of my passion for photography & expanding my skills in fine art utilizing tools like pastels & oils, pencils & brushes on paper & canvas.

I do use digital means to capture & edit my photos but for any drawings or paintings on this website I am working solely analogue using traditionally learnt techniques.

For me the joy of being an artist is to produce analogue artwork using digital photo based references that I have shot myself keeping workflow & creative concepts under my control with the minimum of fuss, influence & dependence on others.

Equal to my passion for producing fine art is making use of my 30 year plus photographic skills with travelling, exploring & documenting some of the most beautiful & fascinating nature that our planet has to offer, to return & display my efforts here on my website, hopefully finding the one or other keeper to transform, time permitting, into a drawing or painting after.
